The CEST conference was inaugurated in 2018 under the auspices of Elmergib University in Al-garabulli City. With a scope encompassing all fields of engineering sciences, the conference has since been hosted by a succession of Libyan institutions: Elmergib University (1st and 3rd editions), Sabratha University (2nd), Al-Asmariya University (4th), Nalut University (5th), the Higher Institute of Science and Technology, Tarhuna (6th), and the College of Industrial Technology, Misrata (7th).
